So I was psyched when thicker, plain Greek yogurt started appearing at grocery stores. I like the rich consistency, the higher protein and how decadent it tastes when mixed with a slight drip of honey and some fresh, seasonal fruit. But I didn’t know all these yogurt facts.

For the love of Alton Brown

Alton Brown: my favorite, and only Food Network obsession. I can take or leave the others (not in the market for hot chicks like Giada, however, she’s got some cooking chops), but his show, Good Eats, we DVR with religious fervor. There are evenings when my husband and I sit down with dinner in our laps and watch four episodes back-to-back, basking in his food science wisdom and crack pot humor. He confesses he flunked chemistry in high school and college but I call bullshit on that one. But it doesn’t matter…he makes cooking fun for those new to the craft and rejuvenates interest in those who’ve been cooking forever.
