Last chance to tip a glass to Tampa's O'Brien's Irish Pub and Grill

To get technical, O’Brien’s Irish Pub & Grill feels more pub than grill. It’s Irish in name and theme with shamrock-painted windows out front. Find it in the back corner of a Disney-esque “Main Street’’ strip center. Singing “For auld lang syne” may be more appropriate than Danny Boy, as it appears this spot faces the wrecking ball this month, due to a cinema pub moving in next door.

Tampa Downtown Market offers a midway of delights every Friday

If Gumer Rodriguez shows up at your doorstep wanting banana leaves, don’t think it’s the sequel to Pineapple Express. The Veracruz, Mexico native needs the leaves to wrap the tamales he cooks up every Friday in the tamale truck parked at Tampa’s Downtown Market. Best of all, net sales of the $5 lunches go to the non-profit organization, America’s Disaster Relief.

Bern's Steakhouse finds a $30,000 bottle of 1947 Latour in its cellar

I happens all the time… the Bern’s Steakhouse sommeliers “find” a full case of 1983 this or a 1977 case of that. Just laying around in one of their many plain, white warehouse cellars which line South Howard Avenue in Tampa. But this most recent wine find is a doozy.
