Great Tampa Bay event coming up this Saturday, May 1! The 9th Annual Sea Grapes Fine Wine and Food Festival at the Florida Aquarium. Proceeds benefit the Aquarium’s youth education and conservation programs. If you’ve never experienced a nighttime event at our truly amazing hometown fish pond, it’s pretty cool. All of the exhibits are open and you can graze on fare from 20 different restaurants (including Ceviche, NoHo Bistro, Salt Rock Grill and 400 Beach Drive). See the full list here.
Over 100 wines will be sampled (provided by Total Wine and More), including my favorites Gruet, Abadia, King Estate, Four Vines, Cakebread, Quady, Wishing Tree, Hewitson and Truchard. I will be pouring older vintage wines in the VIP area, if you happened to land one of those sold-out tickets.
The silent auction has 200 sa-weet items, like a trip to Greece, a Tampa Bay Rays suite for 16, and spa treatments. The event also has free valet parking and offers an excuse to dress in cocktail attire.
I’ve worked out a $10 discount for the Grand Tasting, which starts at 8:00 p.m. and goes ’til 11:00 p.m. Tickets are normally $85 and but if you enter
TampaBayUncorked
in the promo code area, you’ll get the ticket for only $75. Discount good until 6 p.m. on 5/1.
See you there.
