Wine review: Dutcher Crossing 2011 Sauvignon Blanc Dry Creek Valley (poem)

Dutcher Crossing 2011 Sauvignon Blanc

Pairs great with a game of cribbage

It’s not too sweet
and has high acidity.
The alcohol is balanced
to prevent flaccidity.

Flavor is fresh –
citrus, honeydew and peaches.
Great for picnics,
patios and beaches.

Not too pricey
nor too low brow.
Pairs with oysters,
shrimp and even spicy cow.

A white wine touched
with Viognier and Roussanne,
this Dry Creek juice sports a
finish that soldiers on.

So celebrate we will
with salads a’tossing.
Especially with this Sauv Blanc
from Dutcher Crossing.

Sweetness: 2 out of 10
Rating: 5 stars out of 5
Price: $23
Occasion: Visited the winery in northern Sonoma County
Availability: At the winery and in their online store (seriously worth the extra effort!)
