Sam Seltzer’s, the cattle-call steak place on North Dale Mabry in Tampa, has finally called it quits. Caught holding a gift certificate from there? Datz Foodie’s Market and Loft Bar in Tampa and Tuscon’s Southwest Grill in Clearwater are accepting them at face value.

The Pour House in Channelside opened a few weeks ago and throngs of beer lovers now make their home there. 40 beer taps, 60 bottled beers. In the Grand Central condo.

Café Alma in downtown St. Pete has a $9.95 prix-fixe lunch menu that includes sandwich or burger, soup or salad, a side dish and a soft drink. Now that’s a screaming good deal. They also have half-priced wines and tapas on Tuesdays.

Streetcar Charlie’s in Ybor has all you can eat wings all day on Mondays for only $8.95.

Queen of Sheba, the much-loved Ethiopian destination in South Tampa, has a $5.99 lunch buffet and, at dinner, offers up free beer or wine with the purchase of an entrée.

Capital Grille begins a new Masters Wine Tastings next week. $25 to try over 10 wines. Not a bad deal and highly recommended.

I love me some Bang Bang Shrimp at Bonefish Grill and now they’re making it cheaper to get my fix all day every Wednesday for $5.

  • Capital Grille is my favorite restaurant,the food,service and ambiance are all great and I love going back to the Capital Grille again and again..!I am planning to visit the Café Alma next week.
