Uber popular Datz Deli in South Tampa has hired a new chef, Jason Dean, formerly of Mad Dogs and Englishmen. He joins Chef Heather Stalker in the kitchen, who has been promoted to General Manager/Culinary Director. He’s planning some changes to the menu.
But not to the sandwiches you have grown to love. Jason has been at the helm for about two weeks now and plans some additions to the dinner offerings. Each night, he’ll feature two to three nightly specials, including Marinated Skirt Steak with Sherry Demi-Glace, Escolar Fillets with Roasted Asparagus, and Thai Curry Peanut Chicken Wings. Prices will range from $14-$22 for the entrees and the offerings won’t be firmly in place for a few more weeks.
They will also continue to host wine, beer and sake dinners and will even be providing Thanksgiving turkey dinners if you order ahead.
