Sours are often a great and versatile cocktail style taking the essence of the spirit of choice with a fresh, tart, and semi-sweet citrus mix. We love rum, whisky, and Pisco sours and greatly enjoy tweaking the standards.
Our Highland Sour utilizes quality Scotch Whisky with the sweet, heather-laced liqueur, Drambuie. You can make many variations by choosing different styles of whisky to use in this cocktail. A smoky, peat influenced Islay whisky creates a Highland Sour that is much different than a rich, sweet Speyside whisky.
It’s a fun experiment and it greatly demonstrates that great spirits make great cocktails.
Ingredients
2 oz. quality Scotch Whisky
1/2 oz. Drambuie
1 oz. BevX Sour Mix (Get the Recipe)

Add the three ingredients to a cocktail shaker along with a handful of ice. Shake vigorously to obtain the perfect mix and healthy foam. Keep the garnish simple — a citrus twist is all that is needed.
