By far the best and most complex Nouveau I sampled this year. I can’t say it’s “the best vintage in 50 years” but it’s good enough for more than a whimsical trip down Beaujolais Lane. Loaded with juicy black cherry and blackberry, it sports mildly sweet tannins, pumpkin pie spices and an earthy, leathery, plumy finish. 4 stars out of 5. Sweetness=1 out of 10 (dry to sweet). $10
