The best Bloody Mary cocktail mix ever

Nothing says brunch and/or the morning after like the Bloody Mary. When it’s really needed even a mediocre Bloody Mary is good but a great Bloody Mary sticks in your memory for years.

The Bloody Mary is all about the mix. Use a substandard mix and you’ll have a rather forgettable cocktail despite the use of even the best Vodka. Speaking of Vodka… BevX.com recommends using a quality, and sensibly priced Vodka. There is no better way to spot a status-seeking fool than to witness someone at the bar ordering a Bloody Mary with the addition of the posh, ultra-premium Vodka of the moment.

BevX Best Bloody Mary Mix

32 oz quality tomato juice
Juice of one lime
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
2 tablespoons Juice from your dill pickle jar (not sweet pickles!)
2 teaspoons ancho chile powder
1 teaspoon chipotle powder
1 teaspoon honey
3/4 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Combine all ingredients and stir vigorously, or better yet, shake vigorously.

Making the Bloody Mary

2 oz Vodka
BevX Best Bloody Mary Mix (see recipe above)
Ice
Celery & citrus slice for garnish
Salt, celery seed, and black pepper for glass rim

Rim a tall highball glass with salt, celery seed, and black pepper by first wetting the glass with a lime wedge. Fill the glass with ice and then add the Vodka followed by the mix. Add the garnish and enjoy.
